About Connections for Life, Baton Rouge - What We Do
Founded in February 2000, Connections for Life, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping women help themselves. Our 12-month transitional housing and re-entry program helps formerly incarcerated women rebuild their lives and become self-sustaining members of their communities. We also serve women who are leaving treatment facilities and battered women’s shelters.
In our 12-month re-entry program, women learn life and job skills and how to manage their finances. We counsel them on how to reunify with their families and offer them housing, food, clothing, transportation, employment readiness and employment placement. Almost all of our clients are employed within three weeks of entering our program.

Why
Connections For Life seeks to empower each woman to achieve self-sufficiency, physical well-being and emotional healing. Our goal is to assist the women we serve in learning how to proactively engage in improving their lives and to go from being dependent to becoming independent.
